If you are looking for a mast that offers performance, then the Apex pro will be ideal on your sails Severne. This mast is used by Severne racers on racing sails, it will also work well on Freerace sails like the Severne Overdrive or on foil sails.
APEX PRO IDENTITY CARD:
With its ultra lightweight 100% Carbon construction the Apex Pro uses the highest quality carbon fiber, with a Toray T800 pre-impregnated fiber. The carbon layers are applied by machines to avoid any possible margin of error with human intervention in the manufacturing process at Italica.
Severne offers a range of masts based on weight instead of the percentage of carbon that is noted on the label. The weight is a much very relevant simply because a certain amount of carbon is needed to achieve the weight. The weight, combined with the durability, says a lot about the quality of your mat.
This is the lightest SDM mast in Severne's range with the fastest response for ultimate performance.
The cone of the Apex has medial sections of smaller diameter with greater wall thickness to increase reliability. Alternating texture patterns in the boom area increase friction and thus reduce slippage.
It is no longer necessary to overtighten the boom, which greatly reduces the stress on the mast and increases the durability material.
Particular care has been taken at the junction between the lower and upper parts of the mast, with reinforcements to ensure a perfect connection of the 2 parts.
The internal wall are reinforced and much thicker, which extends its life. The areas subject to high pressure such as the cambers or the wish handle are much more solid.

Severne masts are exclusively made from Carbon Toray Pre-Preg®.
The Torayca® prepreg is a sheet manufactured by horizontally aligning numerous Torayca® high performance carbon fiber yarns.
The Torayca is formed by impregnating thermosetting resin (matrix resin: mainly epoxy) containing curing agent into Torayca textile®, the former being called "Torayca® unidirection- prepreg (UD prepreg)" and the latter, "Torayca® textile prepreg".
