SEVERNE presents the new version of the HYPERGLIDE.
A sail for foiling, without concession, designed to win.
With more than 4 years of experience in foil sail design, the Hyperglide 4 has been developed with Gonzalo Costa Hoeval (ARG-3) and Matteo Iachino (I-140) for the new PWA 2021 race format where foils will compete against classic finned boards on the slalom course.
The HyperGlide4 is designed for full power foiling, where top speed and precision control make the difference for winning.
With this new racing format, Severne can design faster sails, no more upwind sailing. The sail profiles have become flatter. With less pressure on the back hand, it will be easier to control the rig.
The opening of the leech in the middle section reduces drag and offers acceleration.
Maximum control is achieved through stability - the less movement in the rig, the easier it is to maintain the trim of the foil.
A long sail profile combined with a short boom minimizes the distance the power can travel backwards and guarantees optimal control at high range.
High sail tension and a rigid rig consisting of 7 tubular battens and 4 XL cambers lock everything in place, creating a very efficient racing sail.
The weight reduction on the HyperGlide4 means you are racing the lightest rig - every time you gybe, you know you are doing it with less effort than others.
